The Ithaca Model 37 shotgun is one of the oldest pump-action weapons still in production. It is well known and praised for its ambidextrous handling, thanks to the 'bottom ejection' feature, and is also surprisingly lightweight. A shortened version of the Model 37 is produced for law enforcement, and is known as the 'Stakeout'. It features a shortened barrel, and a pistol grip, as opposed to the more common butt. The version depicted in Black Ops is the Stakeout, and it is not referred to at any point as the Model 37.
