The MP5 Kurz, or MP5 Short in English, is a Heckler & Koch designed weapon. The Kurz takes the original design of the MP5, but makes it shorter and changes the handguard. A change with the MP5k is that with the lighter bolt, the weapon can achieve a higher rate of fire than any other model of the MP5. The earliest known variant of the MP5 Kurz was produced in 1976, though whether Heckler & Koch produced additional prototypes is unknown. The model shown in the Reveal Trailer has a different handguard, showing a squared grip design.
