2000 - Semi-automatic (Single Fire)
The M14 rifle was the standard issue U.S. rifle from 1959 to 1970, when it was replaced by the M16. It remains in limited front line service in various places in the US Army, as well as an ceremonial weapon. The M14 also provides the basis for the M21 and M24 sniper rifles.
The M14 in Black Ops is a semi-automatic (single fire) rifle that is modeled after the DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) variant of the rifle, when looking at the pistol grip and sniper stock. This is strange as the DMR was first seen in the mid-1990s when the USMC chose a new rifle for DM use.
